Yubari City
Yubari Coal Mine Large Coal Outcrop [Yubari 24 Foot Shaft]
Discovered in 1888 by Hokkaido government technician, Ban Ichitaro. The shaft, one of the largest is 7.3 meters (24 shaku, approx 24 feet) thick. It is not merely a rarity, but the starting point of history in Yubari.
