Ashibetsu City
Former Raijo Elementary School (Current Seisa University) School Building and Gymnasium
Built in 1954, the straight 106 meter-long school building made of brick, houses 36 classrooms, and when seen from above is shaped like the word "山," meaning mountain in Japanese. The geometric form of timber truss which supports the roof of the gymnasium, is a unique characteristic of the building.
